About Us
At Fraser Coast Sailing Academy, we have started a family business proudly dedicated to nurturing the next generation of sailors. Our passion for sailing drives us to share this incredible sport with junior sailors, ensuring they develop skills and confidence on the water.
Your instructors are Alex and Max Rott, pictured above sailing their Nacra 15 at the World Championships in Barcelona in October 2024.
They are qualified Australian Sailing Instructors and Asia Pacific Champions in the Nacra 15 Youth Performance Catamarans and will turn 17 years of age shortly. Both started their sailing journey at 6 years of age, first in the Optimist and later progressing to Sabots, Flying 11, NS14, MG 14, and now in the Nacra 15. They have sailed many different monos and cats and are active in the Australian racing scene.
Soon joining us as our Lead Instructor is Andrew who brings a wealth of experience from many years of sailing and crossing oceans in rather small vessels! He will be joining our team in December 2025!
